The territory of
Valdobbiadene
Valdobbiadene is a mosaic of hills
that follow one another, steep and luminous,
shaped by time and human labor.
It is a landscape recognized as a UNESCO
World Heritage site, where Glera grows in a
delicate balance between soil,
exposure, and microclimate.
Valdobbiadene
The territory of Valdobbiadene is an extraordinary environment, shaped by centuries of hillside viticulture. Here, on the hills of Valdobbiadene Prosecco Superiore DOCG, the vineyards extend between 200 and 500 meters in altitude, distributed across steep ridges — the famous “hogbacks” — which require entirely manual labor. It is on these slopes that the true identity of Valdobbiadene Prosecco is born.
The soils are a mosaic of marl, sandstone, and conglomerates of ancient origin, capable of providing minerality, aromatic finesse, and an unmistakable freshness. The temperate climate of the Prosecco hills, protected by the Prealps and crossed by constant air currents, keeps the vineyards healthy and promotes slow ripening, enriched by significant diurnal temperature variations.
In this rare balance between nature and human labor, a Valdobbiadene DOCG is born, recognized for its elegance, verticality, and character. Every hill, every exposure, and every micro-area contributes unique nuances, making the wines of the Valdobbiadene territory impossible to replicate elsewhere.
